Cinema 23 was located over the border in Cedar Grove, but that never mattered to the many Verona families who went to movies there before it closed in May 2010. Hopes that the location could become a movie theater again were dashed in late February when demolition crews showed up at the Pilgrim Plaza Shopping Center. The Blenden Group, the broker for property owner Diener Family Partnership, has begin to recruit tenants for a strip mall development.
