On April 26, 2024, Robert Joseph Stivale (Bob) passed away at the age of 87 in Las Vegas. He was a beloved father, husband, grandfather, father-in-law, uncle and friend.

Bob grew up in Montclair, where he met and married his cherished wife of 55 years, Gail (Price), who passed in 2014. They happily lived in Verona for many years, where they raised their family.

Everyone who met Bob said the same thing…”What a nice man.” He was that, and a lot more. Bob was very generous with his time and with whatever he had to give. He loved his work as a builder/craftsman. Bob started working in his family business as a young man with his father, Louis, and brother, Louis (Sonny), deceased.

After moving to Las Vegas in 1994, he used his skills to open and maintain both Boulder Station and Green Valley Ranch. Bob built countless pieces of furniture for friends and family over the years, which he continued well into his late seventies. Methodical and a stickler for perfection with his craft, but laid-back and non-judgmental when it came to people.

Bob was proud of being Sicilian (not just Italian, he’d clarify) and loved New Jersey, Las Vegas, a good French Dip sandwich, homemade meatballs and gravy (not sauce) and all things sweet topped with Cool Whip. He enjoyed watching the New York Yankees/Giants and the Vegas Golden Knights. His fondness for playing video poker at The Rampart Casino in Summerlin was well known.

Above all, he loved his family. He enjoyed a long and happy marriage to Gail. They were the rare perfect match. He was very proud of his son Rob (spouse Sandra Stivale) of Montclair, and daughter Debbie Olizarowicz (spouse Jim Olizarowicz) of Las Vegas. Always supportive of their endeavors and accomplishments. Nothing brought more joy to Bob than spending time with his granddaughters, Reese and Reagan.

Bob was an old-school, hardworking, soft-spoken gentleman. He will be sorely missed by all.
