Riley Ying has been named the valedictorian of the Verona High School Class of 2024 and Patrick Huaman is the salutatorian.
The two were honored last night as the Essex County Academic Awards banquet, which was held at Nanina’s in the Park.
In addition to being the academic leaders of their class, both have been involved with the Verona music program and played varsity soccer.
VHS graduation will take place on Wednesday, June 19.
