Verona Clergy Council Sets Interfaith Education Series

The Verona Clergy Council, which annually hosts the Thanksgiving Interfaith Service, is hosting a summer Educational Series on two consecutive Monday evenings at 6:45 p.m. Consider attending one or both. Monday, July 31 will be held at Holy Spirit, 36 Gould Street, Verona and the topic will be “Jesus, Hillel and Shammai: The Sermon on the Mount as a Contemporary Debate.” Monday, August 7 will be held at B’nai Shalom, 300 Pleasant Valley Way, West Orange and the topic will be “Eve, the Snake and the Fruit.”

The discussions will each close with a question and answer opportunity, and each night the conversation will include both Jewish and Christian perspectives of the specific piece of Scripture/topic.
