Verona and Cedar Grove first responders will be coming to the center of Verona on Tuesday, August 1, from 6 to 9 p.m. for National Night Out. The free event, which is centered around family-friendly activities, is intended to set the tone for police-community relations.
According to Verona officials, this year’s gathering will include an inflatable bounce house, obstacle course for the children, DJ, cornhole boards, and a face painting and exotic balloon artist. Both the Verona and Cedar Grove Police Departments, Fire Departments and Rescue Squads will have vehicles on display and provide demonstrations. The Verona Department of Public Works will also have several construction vehicles there, and Verona restaurants will be present.
If you are driving to the event, the town asks that you use the municipal parking lot off Park Place or Our Lady of the Lake’s parking lot off Montrose Avenue.
In case of bad weather, the rain date will be August 3 at the same time.
Location of night out?
Community center? Civic center?
As it says, the center of town. That’s the civic center, the lawn in front of Town Hall.
