Putnam-Spelling1Musical At VHS: Verona High School’s Spotlight Players will present The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee on March 7, 8 and 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the VHS auditorium.

The show, which opened on Broadway in 2005, is a musical comedy about a fictional spelling bee set in the fictitious Putnam Valley Middle School. It’s a mix of quirky contestants, quirky judges and quirky spelling words, plus a Greek-style chorus in the form of the fictitious Putnam County Board of Education.

Tickets can be purchased at the door and they are $10 for adults and $8 for students and senior citizens.
