State Wrestling Championships: New Jersey’s top high school wrestlers head to Atlantic City at the end of the week for the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association State Wrestling Championships. Verona High School’s Frankie Greco and Joe Cordasco will be among them.
Greco took first place in the 182-pound class at the Region 4 wrestling championship in West Orange and Cordasco placed third among the 170-pound group.
The state competition begins at 5 p.m. on Friday with the preliminaries and pre-quarterfinals. On Saturday, Mar. 9, the competition starts at 10 a.m. for the quarterfinals and wrestle-backs. On Sunday, competition begins at 10 a.m. for consolations, followed by the finals and awards ceremony at 2 p.m.
