Register for Spring Rec sports: The Verona Recreation Department opens online and in-person registration at 9 a.m. on Monday. There are 20 different programs for children this spring, including two new hiking programs that look to get kids out on the hiking trails at the Hilltop Reservation. The hiking programs run on Thursday afternoons for six weeks and costs $30 per child. Prices for other programs vary, but they are moderate as kids’ activities costs go. To register online, visit the Township of Verona Web site or go to the Community Center at 880 Bloomfield Avenue.
