The Verona High School Sports Boosters annual Beefsteak Dinner fundraiser will be held Saturday, February 2. UPDATE: The dinner is sold out.

The food will be provided by Nightingale’s Caterers, which invented the beefsteak dinner back in the 1930s, and the entertainment will be by Verona’s own DJ Skriv. The evening includes plenty of food, beer and wine. There is also a tricky tray, music and a silent auction.

The Boosters support all VHS girls and boys sports programs by connecting students, parents, coaches and the community in a way that enhances school spirit, boosts morale and offers financial support. Every dollar raised by the Boosters goes directly back into sports programs to purchase needed items such as uniforms and protective/safety equipment for the teams. A portion also goes towards scholarships to help young athletes deal with the rising costs of college. The Beefsteak is the Boosters’ biggest fundraiser.

Tickets for the evening are $50. To reserve your table now, purchase an individual ticket or to make an auction item donation, contact Jay and Liz Sniatkowski at 973-626-1479 or by e-mail.
