As we move closer to the season of Christmas, the First Presbyterian Church of Verona is offering the following services:
- Sunday, December 17 at 10:15 a.m.: Sunday’s service will focus on Christmas music through the ages. Guest harpist Robbin Gordon-Cartier will be playing traditional holiday favorites. Her version of “Go Tell It On The Mountain” always makes the holiday season brighter.
- Thursday, December 21 at 7 p.m.: Blue Christmas/Longest Night Ecumenical Service which recognizes that issues such as death, illness, loss of a job, etc. can make the holidays difficult. The service will make connections between the struggle with darkness and grief and the light of Christ, which enters at Christmas.
- Sunday, December 24, at 10:15 a.m.: A boisterous family service full of special Christmas music will also feature a skit performed by the youngest members of the congregation.
- Sunday, December 24 at 8 p.m.: A traditional quiet candlelight service of beloved Christmas hymns featuring members of the cancel choir under the direction of Chaequan Anderson.
- Sunday, December 31 at 10:15 a.m.: Celebrating the first Sunday of the Christmas season with a service of lessons and carols.
First Presbyterian Church is located at 10 Fairview Avenue. There is ample parking behind the church.
