It is with great sorrow, yet with profound gratitude for her beautiful life, that we announce the passing of Margaret J. Delli Santi, affectionately known as Peggy, on December 8, 2023, just shy of her 92nd birthday. Born in Newark, on June 25, 1932, Peggy was a woman of incredible strength, a doting mother, a cherished grandmother and friend.

Peggy dedicated a significant part of her life to her career as a sales representative with Solid State Electronics in Bloomfield, retiring after many years of dedicated service. She was known for her tenacity, work ethic, and her knack for building lasting relationships. Like a beacon of light in the industry, she guided and inspired many.

While raising her family, she volunteered her time as the president of Mount St. Dominic Academy in Caldwell. In her retirement, Peggy found joy in her family, her friends, and the Nob Hill community of Roseland, where she resided. Her greatest accomplishment in life was caring for her “little family.”

Peggy is survived by her loving daughters, Lisa Delli Santi-Porcelli and Lori Delli Santi Stroppa, their husbands John Porcelli and Alan Stroppa, and her beloved grandsons, Dylan Stroppa, John Porcelli and Matt Porcelli. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Marion Fee, and her dear husband, John Delli Santi.

Visiting will be held on Thursday, December 14, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Prout Funeral Home, located at 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona. The Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, December 15, at 10:30 a.m. at St Aloysius Church, 219 Bloomfield Avenue, Caldwell. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to either St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to Susan G. Komen (breast cancer research) would be appreciated.

In celebrating Peggy’s legacy, we invite you to share your fond memories, stories, and photographs on her memorial page at proutfuneralhome.com. A woman of character and heart, Peggy’s spirit will continue to live on in the memories we share and the lives she has touched.
