Verona Business Award
Bagelwich

BAGELWICH_LOGOOpening in August of 1982, Frank and Rosanne Oldewurtel, owners of Bagelwich, have been serving Verona and its surrounding communities proudly for 32 years. The bakery has been recognized with a Gold Award 4 years in a row from Talk of the Town for customer service, and as the Best Bagels in Essex County. Frank and Roseanne are also proud of the fact that throughout the many years in Verona, hundreds of local kids have been employed, and often come back during their careers in college to work summers and during semester breaks.

According to Frank, “Verona has been very kind to us. It is one of the best, if not the best small town in New Jersey. This has become our second home, getting to know many regular customers more as good friends than just customers.”

Strongly believing that giving back to the community is most important, Bagelwich has sponsored and, or supported such events and organizations as the Verona Labor Day Run since its first year, the VBSL, Relay for Life, the Junior Woman’s Club of Verona, the VHS Sports Boosters, the Verona Band, all elementary school SCA groups, Project Graduation, the Verona PBA, the Verona Rescue Squad, the Verona Fire Dept., Liver Walk for Life, as well as many fund raisers run by Our Lady of the Lake. It will continue to do so for the years to come.
