DeCozen Chrysler Jeep Dodge has joined Verona’s Mayor and Council to present the Fair in the Square on Saturday, December 6, from 12 noon to 5 pm (rain date: Sunday, December 7) at Verona Civic Center Square – 600 Bloomfield Avenue.

The event coordinators encourage participation from vendors and organizations to perform, create crafts, play games, and sell holiday gift items. Verona Environmental Commission, Verona Woman’s Club and First Congregation Church of Verona are just a few of several organizations participating with giveaways or sale of holiday items. Special addition this year will be the sale of live wreaths and facepainting from Cub Scout Pack 31 and Verona High School Project Graduation committee’s poinsettia sale. Participation from organizations and vendors continue to sign up and provide lots of opportunities to shop and have fun with your neighbors.

Eight Hills Caterers, Verona-Cedar Grove Times, Hillcrest Farms and Verona UNICO, are long standing sponsors, and return to celebrate Verona’s community spirit. The Fair goers will again be delighted with the Horse Drawn Wagon Ride co-sponsored by Eight Hills Caterers. Riders can board the wagon behind Town Hall and be treated to a free ride along Gould Street starting at 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. There will be limited vehicular access to Gould Street during the festivities. Bob Johnson, master ice carver, will return to surprise us during his Ice Sculpture Demonstration co-sponsored by Hillcrest Farms.

As a founder of Fair in the Square, Jimmy Hill of Eight Hills Caterers remains an enthusiastic supporter of the Fair and will continue to serve the fair goers from the Fair’s food court. “The Fair creates an opportunity for the community to come together to enjoy good food, entertainment, fun family activities and start their holiday shopping conveniently close to home,” he said.

Fair attendees will be amused and entertained by scheduled performers, activities, and music. Verona UNICO continues its tradition to entertain the community’s young children with a bouncy house.

Crafters, businesses and organizations interested in having a table at the Fair in the Square will find the vendor/organization application on the Verona-Fair-in-the Square Facebook page, send email to [email protected] or call Diana Vitrano at 973 857-1467 x15.
