Annin Verona 2002-09-11April was one of those months when an untimely death of a well-loved member of the community topped the news. Bruce Williams, who had lead scouting programs and countless volunteer projects in every aspect of Verona, passed away on April 28. He was only 59.

Our second most highly read story was about a passing of a different sort. Annin, which had been Verona’s flagship industry since 1919, confirmed that it will stop making flags in Verona at the end of June. No word yet on Annin’s plans for its iconic building.
