Boys Tennis Improves Record To 10-5

The Verona High School boys tennis team boosted its season record to 10-5 yesterday with a 5-0 sweep of Newark East Side.

Michael Siclari, Verona’s first singles, went 6-0 in his first set before coming up short in a 6-7 second set. He rallied in the third for the victory. At second singles, Christian Kaulback was 6-1, 6-0 and Griffin Russo went 6-0, 6-0 at third singles.

Verona’s first doubles team of Eoin Moy and Yianni Yanniotis went 6-0, 6-0, as did the second doubles team of Aidan Azarowicz and Esteban Patrone-Michellod.

Verona travels to Passaic Tech for a 4 p.m. match on Thursday.
