Verona’s superintendent of schools, Dr. Rui Dionisio, will hold another information session on the two proposed referendums this Saturday, October 12, at 2 p.m.
But this presentation, which will begin in the Verona High School auditorium, will be more than a PowerPoint: Attendees will also get to see, first-hand some of the fixes that need to be addressed.
One referendum addresses a wide variety of repairs at all six Verona schools, and would re-roof every school building. The second referendum, which can be implemented only if the first one passes, is specifically to add air conditioning. There’s a brief overview of the referendums here.
There are videos explaining every aspect of the referendums on the district’s website and its Facebook group. You can also reach out to BOE members and Dr. Dionisio.
