Another Verona family held a Meet and Greet for Town Council candidate Carrie Ford in their home Friday evening. Ford spoke about her campaign and listened to the thoughts and concerns of the dozens of residents who attended. This marks the fifth such gathering since she started her campaign last month, and more are scheduled for the coming weeks.
“I’m encouraged and inspired with how willing people have been to open their homes to my campaign, to introduce me to their friends and neighbors,” Ford said. “It has been a great opportunity to get acquainted with more members of our community and have an open dialogue about the issues that face Verona.”
Since she started campaigning in February, Ford began going door to door to introduce herself to the community as a council candidate. She has found that people are receptive to her ideas and are very willing to help her campaign, including some who are offering to open up their homes for these larger gatherings.
“Carrie’s supporters have been overwhelmingly generous, so willing to participate in spreading the word about her and her platform,” said Natalie White, campaign coordinator for the Ford campaign. “We look forward to meeting more of the community, gathering more feedback from residents, and sharing Carrie’s vision for Verona.”
