1:10 PM: Officer Stephanie Colon took a report of a found bicycle from a Sutton Place resident. The bicycle was logged into property.
2:14 PM: Officer Colon took a report of a fraud from a Sparta resident. The resident reported she had purchased an item via Craigslist from a Verona resident. When they took the item home they discovered parts were missing. Upon contacting the seller to obtain the missing parts he was uncooperative. She was advised of complaint procedures.
6:25 PM: Officer Colon took a report of a dispute at a Bloomfield Avenue business. The employee reported that the customer was refusing to pay for her gas. The customer reported the employee put more gas into the car than she had requested and she didn’t have the money to pay for it. The attendant agreed to accept a lesser amount of money and both parties were satisfied.

5:14 PM: Officer Steve Young took a report of harassment from a Halsted Street resident. The resident reported that her neighbor called her names while she was outside her house. The neighbor reported that the resident was taking pictures of him and calling him names. Both parties were advised of complaint procedures.
November 27, 2016
3:37 PM: Sgt. Dave Wardrope took a report of found property from a North Caldwell resident. The resident reported finding a set of keys in Verona Park. The owner was located and the keys were returned.
8:07 PM: Officer Chris Scheper conducted a motor vehicle stop for an observed violation. A check of the vehicle registration showed active warrants for the vehicle owner. After speaking with the operator and passenger it was determined that there were active warrants for both parties. Jeffrey Peralta-Gomez of Newark and Anthony Rosario-Gomez of Irvington were placed under arrest for active warrants from the Newark Municipal Court. Both parties were placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. After processing both parties were released.
11:49 PM: Officer Alyssa Kirby conducted a field interview with an individual who matched the description of an actor that a neighboring town was looking for. Upon checking the subject’s credentials it was determined that there was an active warrant from the Verona Municipal Court. The subject, Gerod Davis of East Orange was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. After processing he was released with a new court date.
November 28, 2016
11:16 AM: Officer Giovani DeSomma took a report of property damage from a Clifton resident. She stated that after getting gas the attendant failed to remove the nozzle from the vehicle which caused her gas cover to break off when she pulled away. Value of damage is unknown at this time.
7:59 PM: Officer Brian McMahon conducted a motor vehicle stop on Bloomfield Avenue after a random check of the license plate showed an active warrant for the registered owner. Upon speaking with the operator and checking her credentials it was determined that she had active warrants from the Newark and South Orange Municipal Courts. The registered owner of the vehicle was a passenger in the vehicle and had active warrants from the Maplewood and Newark Municipal Courts. Vanna Pierresaint of South Orange and Jeremy Gilbert of Orange were placed under arrest. While searching Gilbert the officer located 17 credit cards with various names in the subject’s pocket. A further search of the car revealed additional credit cards. Both subjects were transported to police headquarters for processing. After processing Pierresaint was released with a new court date. Gilbert was charged with credit card theft, forgery, fraud and incomplete credit card. The subject was held awaiting bail.

2:39 PM: Officer Robert Maguire took a report of lost property from a Wedgewood Drive resident. The resident reported he lost his wallet while on a New Jersey Transit bus. NJ Transit was contacted to look for the wallet. The resident was provided with identity theft information.
November 30, 2016
1:31 PM: Officer Colon took a report of a fraud from a Claremont Avenue resident. The resident reported he received a phone message that he had won a grant and to contact a phone number. Upon contacting the phone number a female gave him an authorization code and advised him to contact a second number. Upon calling the second number they asked for the authorization code plus a transaction number from his bank and to transfer money. The resident declined and ended the call.
4:42 PM: Officer Scheper took a report of fraud from a Brookdale Court resident. The resident reported receiving a credit card in the mail that he did not request. The resident contacted the credit card company and the account was closed.
4:49 PM: Officer Colon took a report of a dispute from a Parsippany resident. The resident reported he had been offered a job at a Verona business. The resident reported after moving his tools to the business the job offer was rescinded. The resident wishes to retrieve his tools from the property. HE was advised that this is a civil matter.
December 1, 2016
12:11 PM: Officer Desomma took a report of harassment at a Grove Avenue business. An employee reported receiving harassing phone calls from a male while she was at work. She advised the male to stop calling but he continued to call. Officers contacted the male and advised him to stop calling and he stated he would comply.
9:17 PM: Officer Scheper took a report of suspicious persons at a Bloomfield Avenue business. The business owner reported 2 females and 1 male walked into the store and began to look at merchandise. One of the females attempted to distract the employee and asked him to check on a child outside the store. The actors then left the store. The employee states that nothing appears to be missing from the store at this time.
