The Rescue Squad’s pancake breakfast will be in a new spot this year, but there will still be lots of good cooking.
The Verona Rescue Squad’s big annual pancake breakfast is still the day before the Super Bowl. It still starts and 8 a.m. and serves until 1 p.m. It’s still an all-you-can-eat affair, which means you can get your fill of pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs and the all-important coffee. It’s still just $5 per person. It’s still a great fundraiser for a great all-volunteer squad that serves Verona in health emergencies large and small all year long.

But there is one thing that will be different this year: The venue. The Rescue Squad will be cooking and serving at First Presbyterian Church, which is located on Fairview Avenue just off the intersection of Bloomfield Avenue. There’s a big parking lot in back of the church, and if that gets filled, there’s parking on both sides of Fairview. Or you can walk there and walk the pancakes off on your way back home.

WHEN: Saturday, January 31, 2015
WHAT TIME: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
