Fenton Catches First Fish In Derby

Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. announced that James Fenton from Verona caught first fish in the boys’ category during the Essex County Fishing Derby in Essex County Verona Park in Verona on Thursday, May 15. He caught the fish three minutes into the contest.

Presenting the award is Frank Gesumaria from the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs. Upcoming fishing derbies will be held Saturday, June 7, in Essex County Monte Irvin Orange Park, Saturday, June 14, in Essex County Irvington Park and Saturday, September 13, in Essex County South Mountain Recreation Complex, Orange Reservoir.
