Discovering Lego’s Discovery Center

Legoland-Westchester5At 32,000 square feet, the LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester is considerably smaller than the LEGOLAND parks in Florida and California. Heck, it’s probably smaller than the Minilands at those parks. But it tries to have some of the same features, from a Miniland with local landmarks like Yankee Stadium to an interactive laser ride, LEGO® Racers Build & Test Zone and, of course, an exit routed through a LEGO store. There’s also a 4D movie theater (think 3D plus stuff dropping from the ceiling). There’s a Duplo area filled with large soft LEGOs for little kids and a LEGO Friends zone featuring the new pink and purple brick concept that the brand is pushing for girls.
