On Friday, October 12, the staff and faculty of Verona High School and the Verona Board of Education participated in the 2012 Lee National Denim Day fundraiser to support the American Cancer Society. Organized by Lee Jeans, it is annual campaign in which companies allow employees to dress casually for a day in exchange for a $5 donation. The teachers and staff who participated in the event paid their own donations.
Since its inception in 1996, Lee National Denim Day participants have raised more than $86 million for the fight against breast cancer.
