The Verona Public Library is featuring multimedia artworks by local artist Wendy Born through the end of August. An open house reception will be held on Saturday, June 10 from 1 to 3 p.m. to meet the artist and view her work.

On display is her series “Secret Verona,” a combination of drawing, painting, photography and printmaking that reflects Born’s experience exploring Verona. Viewers are invited to linger over patterned surfaces to discover objects and locations in Verona. The exhibit is on display in the upstairs gallery of the library.

Wendy Born is an art teacher who has also worked as an illustrator for children’s books and in the apparel industry. She earned two degrees and has taught art to students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. Throughout her career Wendy has always maintained a personal art making practice.
