Verona Arts, the new visual arts group in town, is calling for artists to participate in a new exhibition series at the Verona Public Library, “Artists Among Us”. Verona Arts says the show will take place in late August or September, and the art will be displayed in the library’s second floor gallery.
Local artists of all ages can submit original works of art for the show by using this online form. All work must be original and made by the artist. Works can include such things as paintings, illustrations, sculptures, and more; limited edition prints are also acceptable.
Verona Arts is working to expand the venues where original art can be seen here, facilitating arts workshops and lectures, initiating art projects for Verona’s children, beautifying town spaces and launching communal art projects. The first of those will be something that Verona Arts is calling Chalk Fest, which will be held on Saturday, September 28, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Civic Center. The group also hopes to begin an annual arts festival, where local artists can exhibit original works.
