Real Estate: 4 New Listings, 4 Open Houses, 2 Price Changes

This past week was the end of an era for Verona real estate. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach confirmed that it will be closing its office on Bloomfield Avenue opposite Verona Park, a location that has been a Verona realty office since 1963. The agents there will move their licenses to BHHS’s offices in either Montclair or Livingston, and house hunters will continue to do what they’ve done for many years now: Use realty websites to identify potential properties.

While buyers seem to need ever more space, real estate firms need less because their agents can operate from wherever they have cell phone and internet service. So it is that one of this week’s new listings is a substantially expanded colonial.

2 Claridge Drive Unit 3NE: 2 bed, 2 bath condo in full-service, high-rise building. W/D in unit, primary suite has two walk-in closets. $599,000.

21 Durrell Street: 5 beds, 3 baths. Expanded colonial on deep lot, finished basement. $1,070,000. Open house Saturday and Sunday, 1 to 4 p.m. both days.

2 Claridge Drive Unit 9EE: 2 bed, 2 bath condo in full-service high-rise building. Eat-in kitchen, 3 walk-in closets. Price cut another $10,000 to $539,000.
