Mr. Christopher E. Wright, 68, died on July 16, 2019 in Glen Ridge. Visiting will be held in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Ave., Verona, on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. with a service at 7 p.m.
Mr. Wright was born in New York, grew up in Ridgewood, N.J., and lived in Stroudsburg, Pa., Colorado and Utah before moving to Verona 13 years ago.
He graduated from Ridgewood High School and was self-employed as a tile contractor. He enjoyed woodworking, cooking and will be remembered for his sense of humor.
Mr. Wright is survived by his loving partner, Olivia R. Rompilla; his daughter, Susan McDonald (Ian); stepdaughters Veronica Rompilla and Victoria (John) Vecchione; and three grandchildren.
Memorial donations to the Verona Rescue Squad (12 Church Street, Verona, NJ 07044) would be greatly appreciated.
