The Verona High School and Cedar Grove High School softball teams are moving their fundraiser for pediatric cancer to tonight, Thursday, April 21, from Friday because of tomorrow’s weather outlook.
The game, “Lace Up For Pediatric Cancer”, will take place at Liberty Field, the new turf field behind the Verona Community Center, starting at 7 p.m.
All proceeds will benefit the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital and Hackensack Medical Center.
Verona goes into the game with a 6-5 record (5-2 in league), boosted by a 19-0 drubbing of Glen Ridge on Wednesday. The Panthers fell 7-1 to West Essex on Wednesday, moving their record to 5-6 (2-5 in league).
