The Junior Woman’s Club of Verona will be collecting women’s and children’s pajamas in all sizes from now until May 30. The pajamas will be donated to the Conner M. Holland Foundation, an organization that helps families affected by pediatric cancer, and The Safe House, a domestic abuse shelter in Essex County.
This is the second year that the Junior Woman’s Club will be donating pajamas to the Conner M. Holland Foundation. These pajamas will be distributed by the “Conner’s Comfy PJs” program, which has given more than 2,000 pairs of pajamas to children fighting cancer.
The donations to The Safe House will become part of their “welcome kits.” Women and their children usually arrive at the shelter without personal belongings. “Welcome kits” provide them with basic necessities, including clothing to sleep in on their first night. This donation is part of new relationship between The Safe House and the Junior Woman’s Club of Verona.
A donation bin can be found at the Verona Community Center. For more information, please contact [email protected]
