Romance-novel-artThe Friends of the Verona Public Library are seeking senior citizens and retired residents to help with new volunteer programs at the Verona Public Library. These individuals will help the Friends develop and run programs for seniors in Verona. The volunteer commitment would be one to two hours per week, twice a month. Interested volunteers should call Christine at 201-988-2404 or email [email protected].

The Friends are also happy to announce that we are taking book and DVD donations year round. In order to prepare for our annual Valentine’s Day Romance Novel Give Away, we are especially in need of donations of romance novels. We appreciate the community’s generosity.

Donations can be dropped off at the Verona Public Library, located at 17 Gould Street, during normal business hours, which are Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sundays, 2 to 5 p.m. Please let the front desk staff know that you have a donation, and they will direct you to the storage room on the lower level where they can be dropped off. Please do not leave books on the Library front steps when the library is not open.

If you have any questions, feel free to email [email protected], or call the Library at 973-857-4848. The Friends thank the community for your continued support.
