Snow Rules

Folks, we got a friendly reminder last night about the snow rules in town from Captain Mitchell Stern of the Verona Police Department: It is a violation of Township Ordinance (125-7) to put the snow from your property into the street. So when you shovel, blow or plow the snow around your house, you’ve got to direct the snow away from the roadway.

Capt. Stern also wants to remind residents that sidewalks must be cleared within 24 hours of a snowfall. Violations of the Township Ordinance can cost you up to $500 for each offense.
