In this age of e-mail, getting a card in the mail is a special event. And perhaps even more so when the card is in a language you are just beginning to learn. Members of the Verona High School French club spent a recent afternoon writing holiday cards in French to their petits camarades français in first grade at Laning Avenue School, the Verona elementary school where French is also taught. The French Club members made sure to wish their young friends Bonnes Fêtes, Joyeux Noël, and Bonnes Vacances.

Jenna O'Connell, Olivia Newkirk, Gabrielle Discafani, Kelly DiGeronimo and Alexandra Szilagyi write their cards.
