Come observe that most social of creatures, the teenager, in its natural habitat as the Verona High School Spotlight Players bring to life their spring musical, “Mean Girls.” Writer Tina Fey’s comic take on the pecking order of adolescent popularity tells the story of transfer student Cady Heron who fits right in with her new school’s pack of popular girls until she falls for the leader of the pack’s ex-boyfriend. Then, it’s survival of the fittest.
The cast features Grace Lustig, Faith Brolly, Abby Schust, Aidan Azarowicz, Leah Bachan, Sophie Beaubouef, Arlen Halliday, Brielle Marchese, Lauren Ryan, Andrew Conte, Nick Boake, Grace McMahan, Luca Tedesco, Eva Lelande, Fiona Church, Kaelin Walsh, Violet Palmer, Ella Rosinski, Gale Verzella, Julia O’Reilly, Andrew Ackerman, Dylan Frey, Titus Halliday, Julia Nogales, Michael McHugh, Julia Zysk, Caity Eng, Hannah Crinion, Kate Bernard and Eve Kershaw. The production is under the direction of Steven Munoz with the support of Music Director Paul Salierno, Choreographer Jana Lawson, Assistant Director Amanda Hyland and Stage Manager Kaya Gumusayak.
The show runs from Thursday, February 29 to Saturday, March 2, with performances at 7 p.m. and a 2 p.m. matinee on March 2. Tickets can be purchased online here or at the door (cash only).
