Calvary Lutheran Church is starting a Bible study group this week around “The Chosen,” the popular TV show. The group will meet Wednesdays at 7 p.m. at the church, which is located on South Prospect Street just south of Bloomfield Avenue.
According to Calvary’s new leader, Pastor Anthony Giordano, each session will last about 90 minutes, depending on the run time of each episode of “The Chosen.” The Bible study group, which is free, will run for eight weeks for the show’s first season, and then then take a break and start the second season. You don’t need to watch the show before attending. “We’re watching the show together then discussing it,” says Pastor Giordano.
