Real Estate: 4 New Listings, 3 Open Houses, 1 Price Change

Have New Jersey real estate prices risen? You bet they have. According to Zillow, there are now 49 New Jersey towns where the typical home value is $1 million or more, up from 35 a year ago. In Essex County, where Verona sits, that includes Essex Fells and Short Hills, which have been on Zillow’s list before, and now Millburn and North Caldwell. There are 11 towns in Bergen County, and two each in Morris, Somerset and Union County. The biggest swath of million-dollar values are down the shore, where there are 28 towns that qualify, from Deal to Cape May Point.

Verona real estate is not in the lofty valuation club yet, though prices have definitely risen in the last five years. Our homes deliver more space for less money (and better schools) than real estate in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Hoboken or Jersey City, and so they will continue to be bid up.

Here’s what’s happening in Verona real estate this weekend, from lowest priced to highest in each category:

New Verona Listings

2 Claridge Drive 3IW: 1 bed, 1 1/2 bath condo in full-service high-rise building. Fully renovated. Eat-in kitchen, large closets. $545,000.

2 Claridge Drive 11GE: 1 bed, 1 1/2 bath condo in full-service high-rise building. Renovated with custom built-ins including Murphy bed. $575,000.

Verona Open Houses

Verona Price Changes

1 Claridge Drive 123: 1 bed, 1 1/2 bath condo in full-service high-rise building. Renovated, fully furnished. Price cut $66,000 to $599,000.
