Christine Bratsch Licknack, VHS ’65

Christine Bratsch Licknack, 76, of Toms River, New Jersey passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 2, 2023 at home after a brief but brave battle with cancer.

Mrs. Licknack is survived by her loving husband, Dan Licknack, andtheir children: Thomas W. Coffey (Jean), Kathleen McLaughlin (James), Melissa Ingraham (Garry), Dan Licknack Jr. (Lisa), and Pamela Licknack along with many grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Nancy Conklin (Robert) and Helen Simpson and many loving nieces and nephews.

Christine graduated from Verona High School in 1965 where she was a National Honor Society student. She worked as an administrative assistant for various law firms until she transferred to Community Hospital. She worked in their Home Health division for nearly 20 years. Christine was a founding member of the Ocean County Mother of Multiples, and the New Jersey Association and National Organization of Mothers of Twins Clubs (all since 1975).

She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s in Toms River, a member of the Rosary Altar Society, and most recently a member of the Brick Presbyterian Church in Brick Township. She volunteered her time at the soup kitchen at St. Joseph’s and as a driver/shopper/assistant for the elderly.

Christine was an avid Scrabble and Yahtzee player and a lover of all things Elvis.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her memorial gathering on Sunday November 12, 2023 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Anderson & Campbell funeral home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753.

The funeral will be Monday November 13, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Brick Presbyterian Church, 111 Drum Point Rd, Brick Township, NJ 08723, followed by a ceremony and interment at Brig. General William C Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. (350 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ 08562).

In lieu of flowers, donations in Christine’s honor can be made to Brick Presbyterian Church in Brick Township.
