Yes, there’s rain in the forecast for Saturday, October 14. But the marching bands coming for the Verona Festival of Bands will still be marching. Organizers are just moving the competition inside to the Verona High School gym.

The music begins at 5 p.m. and the performances by the seven participating bands will be capped by an exhibition performance by the Verona Marching Maroon and White at approximately 8 p.m.

Participating bands include (in order of appearance): Glen Ridge High School, Hawthorne High School, Bernards High School, Livingston High School, Phillipsburg High School, West Orange High School, Roxbury High School, and Verona High School.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. Children under 4 are free. Lakeside Deli will provide food for purchase. Hot and cold beverages, baked goods and other snacks will be on hand for purchase as well. Air-Grams and Candy-Grams are also available to send to your favorite performer. All funds raised go directly back to the Verona High School Music program.
