Robert P. Lynch, 59, Owned Kilkenny Ale House

Mr. Robert P. Lynch died on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 in the Hackensack University Medical Center. He was 59 years old.

Visiting will be held in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona, NJ on Friday, September 22 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated in the Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona on Saturday at 10:30 am.

Born in Rockville Centre, New York, he grew up in Medford Lakes and Glen Ridge prior to moving to Verona in 1999.

He was the owner of the Kilkenny Ale House in Newark since 2006.

He was an active member in the AOH Division 9 of Montclair and the Shillelagh Club of West Orange. Enthusiastically assisting in their many charitable events. He was a proud Irish American.

He was currently the vice president of the New Jersey License Beverage Association and helped work diligently on matters affecting his fellow business owners.

Mr. Lynch is survived by his wife, Michele Lynch; his son, Robert A. Lynch; his siblings, Harold Lynch, Mary Jean Lynch, Eileen Vanderpoel, Maureen Lynch, Rose Mary Heugle and James Lynch and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, 1333 South Mayflower Avenue, Suite 400, Monrovia, CA 91016 would be appreciated.
