Mrs. Angelina (nee Russomanno) Marino died on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at the Mountainside Hospital in Glen Ridge. She was 93 years old.

Visiting in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona will be on Friday, September 1 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. A funeral mass will be held in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona on Saturday, September 2 at 10 a.m.

Born and raised in Newark, Mrs. Marino graduated from Barringer High School in 1948 and moved to Verona in 1970. She had a 25-year career as a secretary / administrative assistant at the Essex County Hospital Center (Overbrook) in Cedar Grove, retiring in 1997. After retirement, she worked at both Stern’s & Macy’s in West Orange.

Mrs. Marino was a member of the Italian American Club of Verona, the Verona Senior Citizens Club and also served as an election poll worker in Verona.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Vincent J. Marino, her parents, Antonio and Gerardina Russomanno and her brothers, Anthony Russomanno and Alfonse Russomanno.

Mrs. Marino is survived by her children, Susan Berman and her husband, Mark; Jodine Sheridan and her husband, Mark; Vincent A. Marino and his wife, Monica, and her beloved grandchildren, Olivia Laurita, Kevin Sheridan, Kyle Sheridan, Jack Berman and Giovanna Marino.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
