Listen up VHS music and computer science students: Rolling Stone magazine has a piece about the growing use of artificial intelligence in recorded music. What does this have to do with Verona? The author of the story is Jack Denton, Verona High School class of 2011.

Denton’s story profiles Holly Herndon, who holds a doctoral degree from Stanford University’s Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics. She used her knowledge of artificial intelligence to turn a gaming computer into a singing partner. Denton had been writing for Pacific Standard, until that news site closed in August.
