If you hike or bike the Hilltop Reservation, you need to know that Essex County has begun its annual deer hunt there. The reservation will be closed on Thursdays through the end of February. Also of note this week: The Verona Public Library will close at 5 p.m. on Thursday to get ready for its “New Year, New Library” fundraiser that evening. The fundraiser also means that there will be no “Knit For A Cause” group meeting this week.
