Police Respond To Bomb Threat

On Thursday, December 13, at approximately 12:51 p.m. the Verona Police Department responded to the Huntington Learning Center at 10 Pompton Avenue on a report of a bomb threat.

The building was cleared by the Essex County Sheriff’s Department Bomb Squad. VPD Detective Sergeant Tim Banta said that it appears that this incident is tied to numerous other bomb threats to multiple locations throughout New Jersey and across the country.

All businesses in the complex were temporarily evacuated while the building was cleared. No injuries were reported.
