The Verona Sports Boosters would like to congratulate Caroline Chivily of the Verona High School girls tennis team as the Girls Senior Athlete of the Week.
After playing doubles for the last three seasons, Chivily moved up to third singles this season where she has compiled an impressive 15-3 record for Coach Kelly Flynn. The Hillbillies are currently ranked sixth in Essex County with a record of 14-6.
In her spare time Chivily loves to bake. Cookies and cupcakes are her specialty, although her favorite food in the world is a mango smoothie! It’s not hard to believe that Chivily’s favorite TV show is NY Med, since she aspires to be a brain surgeon one day.
Although she is having a terrific tennis season, it is softball that Chivily plans to play in college. She plans to make her college choice known sometime in December. Congratulation Caroline Chivily on all your future endeavors from the Verona Sports Boosters!
During the 2014-2015 school year, the Verona Sports Boosters will recognize a different male and female senior athlete at Verona High School every week. The Boosters support male and female athletes in all VHS sports through a variety of fundraisers and recognition events.
