The Friends of the Verona Public Library are seeking new volunteers and nominations for two open Board positions.
In the past year the Friends have started to plan special events for adults and children in the community, including several Family Fun Nights, a speaker on women’s history and an astronomy night. New volunteers are needed to help plan and run these events.
Two Board seats are available in September, secretary and Board of Trustees liaison. The secretary is in charge of all correspondence for the club, including thank-you letters and membership renewals. The Board of Trustees liaison is responsible for going to Verona Public Library Board of Trustees meetings and reporting back to the Friends on decisions and policies. Both positions require a time commitment of five hours or less a month.
Interested volunteers should email [email protected]. Christine McGrath, president of the Friends of the Verona Public Library, is taking nominations for the Board positions through August 15, 2014.
