Beth Shorten's photo of fall foliage in VeronaPhotographer: Beth Shorten

Ask people who moved south from Verona what they miss most about living here and they are likely to say the fall foliage. From birch trees to maples and oaks, the changing leaves light up the hillsides from one side of Verona to another. And after the freak snowstorm last Halloween that damaged or destroyed 600 trees, we probably value the leaves we have more than ever.  Reason enough to make this tree in transition today’s “Verona View”.

“Verona View” is a new daily photo feature from MyVeronaNJ.com that highlights people, places and events in Verona, N.J. Take a photo with your camera phone, DSLR or anything in between and send it in. MyVeronaNJ.com will feature one reader photo every day. To submit your photo, email it,  or text it to 973-632-4015, or post it to our Facebook page.
