The Essex County Prosecutor’s office has released a statement that Joseph Rossi, 58, of Verona was found shot to death in his Bloomfield amusement machine business on Friday, February 24. The office says the killing occurred at 1:45 p.m. on Friday at 105 Floyd Avenue in Bloomfield. Rossi operated Phoenix Amusements, which repaired gaming machines, at that address.
The investigation into Rossi’s death is being conducted by the Essex County Prosecutor’s Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force and anyone with information is urged to contact the Essex County Prosecutor Homicide Hotline, 1-877-847-7432.
Rossi’s wake will be Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. at Shook’s Cedar Grove Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at Shook’s on Tuesday at 11 a.m. The full obituary is in The Star Ledger.
