In their final game of the season, the Verona High School girls basketball team lost to Hanover Park on Friday afternoon, 62-38. The two teams were evenly matched in the first quarter, putting up 14 points apiece. But Hanover Park pulled away in the subsequent periods and Verona’s fourth-quarter rally was not enough to close the gap.

Emily Aaron led the scoring for Verona with 12 points. Amanda Langan had nine points and Caroline Mols had eight.  The girls ended the season with a  4-16 record.
