The Montclair Art Museum will be hosting a juried show for digital artists next year and if you want to participate, the submission forms will be available soon.
The show is called the New Jersey Arts Annual: Fine Arts and it is co-sponsored by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, and presented in collaboration with the Montclair Art Museum, the Morris Museum, The Newark Museum, the Noyes Museum of Art, and the New Jersey State Museum.
The theme of this year’s show is “New Media, New Forms” and organizers are seeking New Jersey artists working in digital animation, video, or sound and digital photography, as well as works in more traditional media that draw on digital imagery as a source.
If you want to participate, a submission form, prospectus and additional information will be available on the Montclair Art Museum’s Web site on December 5. You can also get the materials by calling MAM Curatorial Assistant Kimberly Fisher at 973-259-5142. There is no entry fee. Applicants are required to submit the entry form in the prospectus, as well as a CD or DVD of high resolution JPEG images or video files of their work with complete identifying information, a current résumé, and an artist’s statement by February 3, 2012. The exhibition will take place at MAM April 19 through July 22, 2012, in its Marion Mann Roberts Gallery.
