Charles B. Sampson

Freehold Regional’s Board of Education met last night to pick its new superintendent. It made a decision, which may or may not be to hire Verona Superintendent Charles B. Sampson. Trouble is, according to the Asbury Park Press, Freehold won’t announce its decision until contract negotiations are complete. We’ll have to wait.

But if you’re into reading tea leaves and facial expressions, you might want to come to tonight’s Verona Board of Education meeting. It starts at 8 p.m. in the library at Verona High School, and Laning Principal Frank Albano will be giving a presentation on Verona test scores.
