Mount Saint Dominic Academy Theatre Arts is going to be holding auditions for its 2011 spring musical, “Once Upon A Mattress”.

Since MSDA is a girl’s school, the auditions are for young men, ages 12-18. The school says no previous theater or dance experience is required and newcomers are welcome. You can try out on either Tuesday, November 30, or Wednesday, December 1 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Call-backs for leads, support characters and featured ensemble will be Thursday, December 2, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Actors should prepare a musical theater audition song and bring sheet music for the accompanist in the correct key.

“Once Upon A Mattress” will be performed on Thursday through Sunday, March 3-6. For more audition details, to make an audition appointment or to ask questions, e-mail the director, Jonathan Wentz.
