The Essex County Environmental Center in Roseland is taking its “Little Explorers” program into the summer. “Little Explorers” is a child-caregiver class that uses stories, walks and crafts to help kids develop an awareness of nature. A different subject is covered in each class, and you do not need to attend them all.
The classes are separated by ages, with the 2½ to 3½ year-olds meeting on June 7 and 21, July 5 and 19, and August 2 and 16, from 10 to 11 a.m.
Children ages 3½ to 5 meet on June 14 and 28, July 12 and 26, and August 9 and 23, again from 10 to 11 a.m.
Each class costs $6 per child, although additional material fees may apply. Space is limited and advance registration and payment is required. For information, call 973-228-8776.
